I have a 208 with the round guage that shows horizontal bars for the amount of available fuel. Up until yesterday it was working fine.

I ran the tank down to 1/2 two weeks ago. When I went fishing yesterday, I trailered it to a gas station, put in my Ring-Free and Stabil, then pumped in gas until the tank was full, and the gas shut off at the pump.

OK, put her in the water, started the engine, and I get a display with one bar, the tank on the lowest level, and a blinking symbol for fuel telling me that I am empty before I even start out. The engine runs fine.

Sending unit, fuel guage, or something I didn't do when I refueled? Feel free to call if you like, number is below. Thanks.

I had the same problem on my '92 Gulfstream. After checking all conections, I took A chance and replaced the sending unit. Fixed!!

I've had the same problem also. The float in the sending unit got stuck at the bottom of its tube. I ended up pulling the sending unit out, pulled the end cap off the tube and pushed the float until it started sliding again. It's worked fine since.

If you try this, do not do it on a full tank. Run some of the fuel out first.
