Hey everyone.
Hope you all have had as good a weekend as we've had. Spent all day Saturday and Sunday out on the water and had a ball! Temperature near 100 both days.

The reason for this post is to thank everyone for this great forum. While drift fishing today, my engine died after cranking up to move. Yup - had to replace the fuel filter. Thanks to this forum, I had on one the boat and had a strap wrench to go with it. Took 3 minutes to change it out. I dumped the old filter into a container and was amazed at all the debris that was in it. Assume ethanol in the fuel is the cause. After several squeezes of the bulb, we were back in business. Plan to pick up another fuel filter in the morning to replace the one I installed today.

Thank you for bringing up this topic - this site is absolutely terrific in exactly the way that you describe. I'm a new Grady owner, but already this site had saved me a heap of stress by simply addressing common issues. - like fuel filters! and lots of other stuff. - recently for us it was the "water in fuel" warning on our Yamaha guages. If this site didn't illustrate to me that lots of other 250 owners were getting the same issue, I would have been freaking out - and having a hard time trusting my dealer who knew the yamaha sensors were the problem from the first mention of it.

Have a great summer !

I'll add my kudos to the site also..

Because of Capt. Chris' post on his new Grady, I learned about the M-Y Wedge for securing the outboard when trailering. It works great, and Id've never known about it if it wasn't for THIS site..
Great bunch of people on here..

Another note of thanks to the site owners and al the people that post. I'm on my third Grady and still have a lot to learn. I feel as though I can post a question about my boat and within a short time, I will get the answer I need. In addition I feel much more confident taking on a project at the dock or even while at sea for that matter if something comes up.

Keep up the good work.
