Well I spent 2 days cleaning the Dog, pics up tomorrow. I decided to replace all the decals as they are pretty beat up. I'm even going to replace the name with the same one.

Where is everyone getting their "Quality" decals these days? I read a few old threads, a guy name Dave on Ebay, etc.
Also while I was shopping for a Seafarer there was one in Florida with a Green Stripe. Has anyone ever seen those? Thanks.

I had an odor inside the cabin, so I sprayed the cushions, and took a hose to the sink and flushed it out. Seems to be better.

The pictures on first post don’t look bad at all, is there a dock behind your house?
Nice dog .

Oh that's not my house that is my cousins. He lives in the same town where I purchased the boat. I couldn't even pay the taxes on that joint let alone the mortgage.

So I decided to take off all the decals. I used a heat gun, razor blade and goo gone. Wasn't that bad, I went over each spot several Times. Now I'm going to replace the stickers with a different color. I'musing Boat US for the Stripes and Boat Name. Still need to find the Grady White decal.
I'm going with Green/Gold. It won't match the bimini. but I plan on replacing it with a custom hard top from the guy in Long Island next year.
There's a New Garmin installed, cushions are in good shape, rods are ready to go, 4th photo replacing blue and gold with green and gold.
And the cleaned up sides without decals.

Forgot Mako, the only Shepherd who likes playing with the hose.
Tomorrow I am going to work on cleaning the cockpit, helm and bow.

Looks good. If you want to match the striping and get decals, see your local dealer.

So I used an oxidizer, polish and wax today on the Starboard side. Put it on with a buffer and removed it by hand. Came out pretty good. Going to do Port side when I have a cloudy day.
Also spray cushions with a 303 Fabric Guard and cleaned the teak foot rests.
I ordered the new Striping, Boat Name, and my registration # from Boat US website figured that has to be good stuff. The Grady logo will be coming from Ebay. Everything in Forest Green.

Question? What do you guys do for the helm, bow area? Wax or Spray 303 Protectant on everything?

Grady introduced the green stripe around the 50th anniversary time frame. If you like it I bet the Grady dealer can get it for you. I think it was in 09 or maybe 10. My boat is an 08 and when I say the new boot stripe in green, well I liked it a lot. If I ever replace my stripe I will consider the updated design. Boat looks good. Keep up the work.

Put the new decals on today, came out pretty good. Have to chase a few bubbles, waiting for it to warm up a bit. Next up polish and wax the helm, cockpit and outside the walk 20190416_175603.jpg20190416_175714.jpg20190416_175805.jpg20190416_175805.jpg
around. The add all my gear and splash it! The only thing is the Forest Green in the boat name was a bit darker than I thought. But I'll live with it.

Very nice!

We are going with the name on the back of “Cow Bell” and then thinking on the side, “I got a fevah...” lol

Will have to check out how that will look;)

Hope it looks half as nice as yours;)

I measured the old letters and the the capital letter was 7 inches. I figured it would be close to the same but this new one is a bit bigger. I think you can see it from Texas when I splash it!

Added 4 rod holders to the Bow Rail. 2 at the beginning and 2 forward. Will get better angles when I see the rods in the water, but they should be pretty close. Also adding the white 3 rod holder to the fold down cutting board tray at the stern.

Okay...name....side or stern?

If stern, they are not real visible when the motors are up....lol....have not seen it with them down yet:p

So, redo the name with larger letters and add to both sides, or stick to aft?

Currently like 5.5” curved with the hometown under

Russ,
When I took all my decals off there was definitely shadowing from previous letters. Hell they have been on there 13 years. I expected that. But the new one look great too.
Mine are a bit obnoxious but they are only stickers, and I can't see them when I'm in the boat.:p I went with 7" high ones from Boat US. If I ever replace them I might do 5".
