Anyone try one of these yet? I'm not sure they're even really available, but they look incredible. I remember being scared off by the price a while back, but now they are accepting orders. They're still 4x the cost of a standard steel prop...

Watched a video on them months ago. Little to no benefit at cruise speed. Definitely more efficient at other speeds, but not cost effective IMO. Good luck ever getting one fixed.

Yeah, I watched that too when they were first announced. They say that they save gas money at all speeds, but they would say that, wouldn't they?

I still think they look really cool...

Dont get me wrong. The design is amazing... so was the Evinrude G2.
The performance difference at cruise was negligible and likely within a potential margin for error based on set-up and load. Hell ya I'd take one, but I certainly dont run enough hours to justify the cost. If the price doesn't become very competitive, it too will go the way of the G2.
