Not really smelling too new since it is a 15 month leftover, but the boat is certainly clean. Spring can't come soon enough. Thanks for all your supportive advice and experiences.

Congratulations Kevin.

I however feel a little sorry for you as this will surely be the looongest Winter of your life!

Good luck with her...

No doubt on that. I think I will need to camp out on it for a few nights before the rough winter settles in. :D

Re: Just purchased a 2011 GW 300 Marlin

Beautiful boat. I bought my 2000 Marlin in June and have fallen in love with it. I was not a huge fan of the design when I bought my boat, but I have grown to really appreciate it in many ways. My parents live on the Chesapeake Bay, and the Marlin is the perfect bay boat. It seems as if the Marlin's haven't changed too much over the years....one update that I REALLY like are the seats....the helm chair looks sooo comfy. Enjoy the boat....hopefully you will get to use it soon.

Re: Just purchased a 2011 GW 300 Marlin

To all the Marlin owners out there, i have a new question about my new boat: Do the engines hit the water when they are lifted completely up? I am trying to get a sense for how much of the engines will still be in the water while not in use at the dock. Thanks in advance.

Mine just barely touch the water.....right at the front of the lower gear case.

Is the deck panel to access the generator now gasketed, with a rain gutter? I have an '01 Marlin, and that deck panel is the boat's only fatal flaw, since the caulking needs to be cut and then recaulked every time there is a need to do maintenance.
