Rainy windy night in New England so I thought I'd pick your brains. Best throwable PFD and mounting options for 330 Exp?

I think the best is a life ring with line in a dispensing stuff-bag. Mounted on appropriate bracket to be easily accessible. I don't know the lay-out of your boat but location will be easy for you to figure out.

I always wanted a ring but find them a bit large for the boats and never found a good mount location. I have the dispensing bag and use two throwable WM cushions (used on top of cooler for seating).

you can see mine mounted on the port next to the fold up seat. It's it of the way but immediately accessable and doesn't look bad.

This is what I came up with. Keeps it handy and out of the way and out of the weather as well as visible for anyone .

I keep the throwable cushion in the overhead net with the stock orange life jackets - not super practical or accessible but keeps me legal, also have a rope bag. But what I rely on for ready service and keep handy is a Mustang survival stick, cartridge activated upon contact with water just like an auto-inflate vest but takes up very little space and has greater accuracy and range if I need to get it out some distance to someone in the water. Also fits in my travel boat bag so it can go with me when I go out on other people's boats.

I keep my throwable cushion either on the dash or on one of the helm seats. Initially I kept it up in the net under the hardtop. On a voluntary pre-season inspection by the coast guard aux. I was told that this is not in compliance as it was not considered easily reachable. So now is out in the helm area. I do have a throwable rope in with the life jackets under the hard top.

Has anybody tried one of these throwable/inflatables yet? That looks pretty interesting to me.

If they tell me that throwable is not easily accessible, I bet I can unstrap it faster than flipping a light switch. I think in a net, the zipper can be restrictive sometimes. With those 2 bungees, I can undo one and grab and pull...it pops right out!
