I am looking to install a b175HW on my 2007 GW 232 Gulfstream. I saw the one tread on here , does anyone else have any experience with placement of the ducer? Thanks!

As long as it's in a spot that has clean water and in about the back 1/3 of the boat, you're good. Make sure there's nothing in front of it (strakes, pickups, etc) that would disrupt water flow. That's really about it. Oh... if you have a trailer - take note of bunks/rollers, too.

In my 252G, I removed the factory installed raytheon tducer and cut the hole bigger to fit and it was a good install. Just had to cut some of the bilge floor away on the inside so I could access the nut to tighten.

I did one in my 96, pretty straight forward. There was a little shelf I cut a notch out of to gain access to the hull. There are a few good videos on youtube for the installation as well. Good Luck!

You could shoot a note to GW via their website Cust Service link for a recommendation. There should be a flat spot on both sides of the hull for transducers. It was years ago but I went with a shoot thru hull ducer and it has been great. Its set inside the hull with no holes in the boat.
