Glad you decided to go with it. It'll be a much neater install rather than having a hose hanging over the transom, especially since you have a relatively newer Grady.

Well I almost gassed myself degreasing the nasty bilge area. My boat ended up laying on it's side in the marina after Sandy, I'm still finding muck in bad places.

I got the plywood block stuck to the hull after a good coating of resin. I fiberglassed one coat on the block before it went in. Now I need another warm day and time to start the cloth work.

UPDATE:
Success! And by that I mean my boat still floats! With little time this Spring it took 4 trips to the marina to get the plywood properly glassed in. This past weekend I finally grabbed the drill and put a hole in my perfectly good hull. The pick up and seacock went together pretty easy. I had to make one last hardware store run for a hacksaw to cut down the pick up pipe, but that was it.

I put the boat in water the next day and it's water tight. Is it recommended to close the seacock when off the boat? Seems like a prudent idea.

Thanks for everyone's help. I'm much happier with this set up than another hose over the side.

Tight lines.
