‘06 Grady 330. Has anyone replace the helm toggle switches at the helm? Some of mine are worn and not readable so looking to get new covers (which pop out) or just replace to go with the newer led color ones. I think they are Carling switches and there are newer ones available with backlight and blue or red.8DC6CBD7-31D2-4E85-87AE-E26BAA41CCDC.jpeg

I did mine last week. You can just replace the covers for $4 apiece. I used New Wire Marine on line and did red ones. Great service and quick shipping. I bought the tool to pop off the covers and it took about 10 seconds per switch cover. I used the "Hatch" label for the electronics box switch. They have a lot of different labels available. Mine look new and the boss can read them when I ask her to activate a specific one. They are Carling Contura II if I remember correctly, but it will be obvious on their web site.

Thanks! How do they light up, same as before? Can you share a photo?

Same as before the light bulbs or LEDs are a part of the switch, not the cover. Some have two lenses, some have only one. I'll get pics ASAP.

Here's a picture of the new covers. I used the cheaper ones ($4.99 ea) but I believe the fancier laser etched Contura IV will also fit the same switch body.

Looking at your switches, as I'm going to have to do this as well. Assuming you used the Hatch switch for the helm electronics box. What I don't see in yours is the fuel tank switch? Does yours have a different way to switch between the main and aux tanks? My 2003 is done with one of these switches on the dash. It looks like otherwise your panel is what I recall for mine, certainly does not have the 2008+ version where the livewell and other switches are in the cockpit area.

Related question, I don't think all/many of my switches light up. From reading the replies above, it sounds like they did at one point?

We replaced our switches with the etched Contura switches. Looks great and was a direct replacement.

I had a similar question; my original switch is a Contura II (printed) version. I need one that indicates "FUEL Main/Aux". I called New Wire Marine and they said I should use the Contura V (etched) switch cover, they had a cover with exactly what I am looking for. I would need to replace all covers because the Contura V is a slightly different style than Contura II (both can be interchangeable. I am going to use my Brother P-Touch and make labels in the meantime. I've attached a few pics to describe what I've got. The small pic is from the New Wire Marine catalog of the Contura V style.

I did the same switch replacement on my 2003 330 but they are not wired with lights on the switches. I have it on my to-do list to figure out if I can add LED's to light when activated.

The switches themselves have the lights in them, don't see any way to 'add' lights. Replacing some of the switches is possible, but man that panel is wired so tight it would probably take a case of beer to finish the job!

In the meantime (figuring out what I want to do with the switch covers) I've used my label maker and made them and for the fuel fillers. Need 'taller' tapes in black for fuel and U/W Lights. Only wish I had a more steady hand when applying them to the switch....20200613_164614 fuel labels.jpg Switch Labels.jpg

I’m contacting new wire marine today to order the new covers. Don’t think I’m going to mess with switches and most if not all of mine light up. They do get hot through as not LED.

cant decide red or blue! We do a lot of offshore overnights so red would be easier on eyes but blue looks cool!

Mine were the etched ones too, with Lights underneath Label, a little more cost, but very happy with them.WheelLeft.jpgWheelRight.jpg

Who made the black dash panel? I want to redo the front of my dash to fit dual 7610s, but need the dash to go edge to edge.

The installer just made it out of black starboard and routed the edges. It tuned out great.
