Looking at bowriders. Besides a foot in length what is main difference between 2 boats concerning ride and stability. (Prices seem a bit high)
Presently own Cabo 35 express Looking at yam 150 4 stroke

I had a 192 and loved the boat, I wanted a bigger ride so I sold her. the 205 is roomier in the bow which to me is a difference enough to choose the 205. Then again, I bouhgt my 192 used and they discontinued it for the 205 only to bring it back. I guess that foot costs alot  or enough for them to bring the 192 back to stimulate demand for their boats. If you can afford it, go the 225 or that new 25 foot Freedom.

We love our 225, but i will say we almost bought the 205 - It is a great boat. If you can pull it off, I think you will be happy with it. I don't know much about the 19' version though...

I prefer the layout and looks of the 192 (big cockpit, swim platform), but the 205 can be had with a head and the 192 can't plus the 205 has the more rounded windshield.

I was looking at both boats (192 and 205) and ended up with a 205 powered with a F200 (4 stroke). I am very pleased with the 200.

I am 6'3" and can layout comfortably in the bow on the 205 with plenty of room. I could not get comfortable in the bow of the 192

The head was also a nice in the 205.

Be sure to sit in both boats before you choose.

Good luck, and have fun shopping.

Unless you are less than about 12 years old or are a contortionist, don't expect to be able to use the head in a 205. In fact, I took the head out of my 205 and just used the compartment for storage.

Your right Parthery,

The head in the 205 is VERY tight. my finance (5'5") fit in it, but it was tight. I am 6'3" and it was REAL tight.

My only real criticism of the 192 was the leg room in the bow seating area. The boat handeled well, was a great tow boat for toys, we created many memories on her. The 205 gives more room upfront which is nice to have. This argument would sway me over the head.

One of the things I like about the 192 layout is the cockpit room. The bow area is somewhat limited to provide space in the cockpit. I found that kids were the primary users of the bow area, and 2 or 3 fit there just fine.

The old 22 was that way also - smaller bow area to get more cockpit room. The newer model has a larger bow area but preserves cockpit room with the bracket.

I was at the NE boat show and had this discussion with one of the Grady reps. Outside of cockpit layout and the extra 15 inches, I was told the hull design of the 205 is updated and optimized for a better ride. I have to say the 192 can be a bit choppy, but you can always slow down to 7 knots and pretend you're sailing!
BTW, I think the 192 is the best, most versatile 19' outboard ever created.

My $.02

I would agree, the 192 is a great 19 foot boat. We loved ours.
