My father and I learned that there are advantages of haveing a larger boat and a smaller boat for the waterways we visit. After I found my Grady Offshore a 19' Pursuit dual console popes up for sale at a fair price. We went and looked at it and we loved the interior layout with all the floors pace and seating room alike for a small boat. We have noticed that with anymore than 3 people in the boat it handles aweful and can actually be scary at times. As soon as the boat gets on plane it lists to one side and is not manervable for a boat of its size. We have tried to relocate people and it does not help and we are within load limits. We just use the boat for the bay and heading to the beach when we want to go to places not local to where be grady is on its mooring
This is not either of our first boats and we both have grown up with boats. I had a Caravelle CC of the same size of the pursuit and remember how well that handeled with 5 people and never had a problem. What I am thinking is to keep my eyes open for a grady tournament with Yamaha power for under $10k. I guess I am wondering how they handle in the bay with 5 people or so and if anyone has ever had any concerns. I would hate to get another boat with be same issues that I am trying to avoid.
Thanks
Andrew
