I have a 33' Express and plan on a trip to vittyjink but need to tow a hard bottom inflatable. Hints? Motor up/down? Motor removed. Speed issues?

Thx

best case I would tow motor off, with about 100' of line, you can go as fast as you want. But I have towed with motor on and down just have to keep a eye on it, but it tows ok , I have a 10 foot rib and a 6hp motor.

probably best to remove the motor for long tows. That being said depends on how heavy and bulky the motor is. I tow my hard bottom inflatable short distances at slow speeds with the motor on as it is heavy and a pita to take on and off( yamaha F15). I have also towed a smaller soft bottom inflatable at 25 kts. for longer distances (15 miles) without an issues. I set it up with a harness and rope for towing an inflatable tube. It stayed straight and towed well.

If you're towing on plane, you'll want to be able to adjust the length of the rope so that the tender is on the backside of the second stern wake. You don't want it in the trough or on the front of the wake. It will take a little trial and error so just make sure you set up your rigging so you can do it easily.
