I purchased a used 2018 Freedom 215 with a Yamaha 250 on it. I recently noticed a hallow sound to a small section of my transom exterior, approximately 8” square - on the port side halfway to the engine. Pretty much dead center.
I’ve removed what hardware I can checking for moisture or soft spots but can’t see anything. There are no cracks in the fiberglass visible, engine is on solid.
Wondering if this is an issue to be worried about? What should my next steps be? Winter is approaching and I’ve started winterizing.
