Need to remove the hard top on a 228. There are cover caps in the cabin that need to be removed in order to get to the mounting screws under the hard top post. Do they just pry off or is there a special trick to taking them off? Don't want to break them so being very careful.

Can you post a picture? My 228 seems to be like amamloa's

If they are the circular caps into the composite headliner, they simply pop out.

Looks like they just pop off but didn't want to pry on them to hard for fear of breaking them and not being able to get replacements. I'll get some pics tomorrow.

They should pop off. They may have had some caulking or sealant added that makes it seem like they don't.

Ok got everything of except the tube to the upper station. Anyone know how to remove this to get to the nuts below the tube that attached to hard top. There is a finger hole when I drop down the console from inside the cabin but do I have to drop the cabin head liner to get to it.
