I have a 208 and the vinyl (maybe) trim has come loose and I need to glue it back and use screws and nuts to fix the latches for the seat cushions, Here's a picture of the trim. I called Grady White and they said superglue but I don't think that is right. It looks like a rubbery type of glue. I also need to use screws and nuts to go thru the rear instead of the sheet metal screws that Grady used. These are only go into the fiberglass about 1/8". Not a good design. How did others repair this?

The picture is before it came loose.

sorry I can't offer advice on the trim issue as I have not experienced this.
I was wondering where you got the cover on your motor and how much it was? Are you happy with it and is it intended for winter storage only or for protection during the boating season. It looks as if it may have some type of lining?

The cover is lined and it is a Deluxe cover. This one came with the boat but you can get them from Short's Marine for about $80.00.

I have not fixed the trim, this picture was BEFORE it came loose. The picture shows where the area where I have the problem. I don't think Super Glue will hold it because the reside on the trim loose like rubber cement or something like that. I was wondering if anyone else has repaired their trim?

If Grady is saying just to glue it, 3M 4200 is a pretty good adhesive for that application and could be removed if the trim ever needed to be replaced.
