been hearing BFT is being caught out near half-moon Bay. anyone else hear or see?

One of the charter boats in Bodega said they had a BF on the line, and lost it because of tackle failure. Interesting year no doubt....

Not a member , but you can post the reports :p
$25 per year and well worth it I've been a member since 2013. Tons of great fishing information from guys that no what they are talking about.

Not my normal area to fish, looking into it commute wise on routes etc..

It's actually all up and down the coast. I think most members are in Half moon bay and Monterey area more reports from that area then Bodega.

I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills, commute is important 3to4hrs to get to coast Make a long trip, I try to find a place to camp overnight to break up the drive if possible.

What town? We had a vacation home in Plymouth for years. Got family in Jackson West Point area.

I’m farther up, between Somerset and grizzly flat. Near Placerville

I fondly remember Placerville; quaint little town. It was on one segment of my required cross-country flights when I got my pilot's license, back in June of '67. In fact, I flew pretty much all over northern California, and to some extent, a bit south, down to Bakersfield. I was stationed at Hamilton AFB for 3 years, so I became quite settled in. Well, that was until I met my wife-to--be :D

I spent some time in Auburn. Pretty close to Placerville if I remember correctly.

Come on Skunkboat you seen a lot pic’s of fish caught in California
You don't have that species of fish on the West coast. They call them speckled sea trout (but they are not a trout, they are a drum). Range from DE to TX. Similar to weakfish (squeteage) from MA to FL. These are very similar and related to the "white sea bass" in California
