I agree, the engine well is definitely not wide enough. Whay with today's options in motors, would you want to put duals on that boat? I guess you have 2 90s already. Even if you do, it's just not a workable configuration.

To the port side of the transom is the oil reservoir locker and to the starboard is the battery compartment locker . I don't see that widening the transom motor well is doable.gw204 said:Yes, it's possible. But you'll have to mod the transom/engine cutout.
In addition to space issues, that hull has a low transom for the motor and a lot of strength would be lost if it were widdened.

90s don't have an external oil reservoir so that space could be reclaimed. Batteries can be relocated relatively easily to under the console. Then aft section of the cap would have to be redesigned/rebuilt as would the transom cutout. Not easy...but doable.
Kinda like closing the transom and putting a bracket on a 17' Mako... :wink:

Just to let you know, I have a pair of 90HP Yamahs with just 10 hours. I live in Puerto Rico and I like to go offshore often. I was thinking about the safety of having 2 engines, but apparently this is major work!!
