TRYING TO DECIDE BETWEEN REPOWERING WITH A 250 WITH MANUAL CONTROLS FOR 15,500 OR GOING DIGITAL FOR 19,000 (INCLUDES COMMAND LINK). OF COURSE THESE ARE NOT THE NEW 2ND GENERATION YAMAHA'S. I PLAN TO KEEP MY 1998 232 FOR A LONG TIME (FOREVER). MY 1998 250 OX66 HAS BASICALLY BIT THE DUST.

ANY OPINIONS?

THANKS FOR THE OPINIONS. I WENT WITH THE MANUAL CONTROLS. I CONSIDERED FUTURE OPTIONS OF DIGITAL SINCE ENGINES SEEM TO BE GOING IN THAT DIRECTION. HOWEVER, WHO CAN GUESS WHAT WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE FUTURE FOR REPOWER. MAYBE THE NEW 300HP SECOND GENERATION V6?

I had the same decision and decided to go with the manual controls due to the $$$.

I have an 08 F250 with variable valve timing manual control. I only have 150 hours on it and it has not given me any trouble. I like the new guages of the electronic control. It is up to your budget ultimately on which way to go.

GOT F250 W/DIGITAL CONTROLS

AFTER SELECTING THE MANUAL F250 THAT WAS AVAILABLE, TWO DAYS LATER THE SALESMAN CALLED SAYING THAT WHEN THE BOX WAS OPENED IT CONTAINED THE DIGITAL CONTROLED ENGINE. HE GAVE ME THE SAME PRICE ON THE ENGINE AND A DEEPLY DISCOUNTED PRICE ON THE NEW CONTROLS. SO I TOOK IT!

NOW CAN ANYONE GIVE ANY FEEDBACK ON HOW THIS SYSTEM IS WORKING AND JUST WHAT ADDITIONAL FEATURES IT HAS?
