What model boat? It looks like there is more going on than just shrunk plastic trim. Is water getting into the cabin?

Is that on the outside? I thought it was tempered glass. Maybe the earlier boats didn't have tempered glass? Maybe a sun film installed by an owner?

Thanks for comeback. Shes an 88 Sailfish. I installed solarfilm on inside of all cabin windows. When in water, get some drips from 1 front, and stb.side.Rocking seems to direct water. When sitting on land, get quite a few more drips.

So we are looking at a front window?
Based on what I see there appears to be some rotten material in that right lower corner. I suppose that at some time in the past, the metal frame and plastic inserts may have been a single drop in fixture. In that corner I think I see a screw that at held two sides together at the corner.
Regardless, you have two choices in my opinion: Slap a lot of caulk in the gaps and around the seams, edges and metal frame or remove the whole thing including the glass and repair the water damage, rebuild or build a new frame and then remount the window. That will be quite a lot of work.
Even if you opt to repair and rebuild, I think you will have a heck of a time getting the old frame out in one piece or at least in useable pieces.

I would just clean out the gap where the rubber shrunk and then squeeze in some black LifeCaulk and call it a day. Easy and at least as good as replacing the rubber.

If you are searching for the trim for windows, try Marine Glass Specialties. I was able to get the window channel for the side windows and that helped a lot with the leaks.
I would not recommend caulking the corners where the plastic trim is as that is how the water will flow out when it gets behind the trim. If you have leaks, you need to seal around the outside of the window channel and if still leaks, then need to remove the trim, check the screws and seal anywhere that looks like it is compromised. Then re-install that trim. I so far have not had any leaks under the plastic trim and don't want to try and remove it unless I have new to replace it with as I am sure it will just crack up .
If I ever tried to remove it for some reason, I would do it in full hot sun on a 98 degree day to hope and pray it would not break up the plastic if can't find new. However, I think Marine Glass has it.
