Volvo I/O anyone?

I bought my 87 240 offshore 4 years ago. The boat is powered by the volvo penta 5.0gi with the sx single prop drive . i really liked that it has a chevy small block v-8 a motor that i know inside and out and can get parts for anywhere. the drive train was originaly the omc 260 hp it was repowered in 1998 . i love it great fuel consumption 4 people loaded with gear 28 kts running out fishing offshore aprox 10 gal/hr.
i think i could also go up a little in prop size and gain some more mileage.
ive run from westbrook to butterfish hole and back on about 60 gals
would love to see if a duo-prop would make much of a difference

I had a volvo DP on my last boat (Wellcraft). Other than the maintenance of the manifolds in saltwater it performed very well. It handled at the dock very well and was quick to get up on plane. If I had an I/O boat to repower, volvo would be tops on my list.
