VST - Location?

The high pressure pump and VST filter are inside the silver VST cannister on the port side of the engine. If you are changing/cleaning the filter, I found it's easier to unmount the whole cannister. Makes the screws in the back that hold it together easier to get to.

Probably the better way to go. Their quarters are RIGHT NEXT to the boat ramp in Crisfield. Sometimes they sit right at the end of the ramp. As soon as you get underway, they flick on that little blue light. Jeez, we must have the safest fishing fleet in the world right there, eh?

Have you gotten a vessel safety check? If not, do so (it's free) and you'll then have a sticker to display. They might cut you some slack if they see you've been checked out.

Yeah, I had a brand new sticker last year. When they pulled me, I pointed out the brand new sticker. The petty officer in charge of the boarding party's response: "We don't care about the CG auxillary, they can't give tickets and we can". This is not heresay, this happened to me and my son. We weren't drinking (no booze on the boat at all), we were respecting the rules of the road, respecting the "no wake" zone, not making any noise, and handling the boat smartly like a good Navy man should know how to do. So why bother with the free safety inspection if they're going to board anyway?
