In the summer of 2005, a small group of Charleston area Grady-White owners met to explore ways to meet and socialize with other Grady boat owners, to enhance their Grady experience and to enjoy the camaraderie of people with similar interests. Unfortunately that club and another one since, never really got off the ground. But the third try is a charm, right? So with a lot of input from our hometown GW dealer, Seels Outboard, and Grady-White Boats, we decided that the best way to accomplish this was to create the Holy City Grady Owners Club.
Activities will be planned five or six times a year (if not more), for most of the year. Some ideas that we are considering are day trips, lunch or dinner trips, raft-ups, educational seminars if folks are interested and possibly a holiday party. We also hope to organize a trip to the Grady-White factory.
We welcome all size Grady boats. Some members may want to “Buddy Up” on boats to make the events work better for them. Family, friends and guests are always welcome.
Whether you’re new to boating or are an “old salt”, there’s something for everyone in this club. Our diverse backgrounds and knowledge of the waterways around Charleston and the low country is a benefit for all our members.
If you would like more information or to join us for a future event, please respond to this thread or visit our FaceBook Page. We would love to meet you and tell you more about our club.
