So, the "next phase" has started... time to pull the anodes and the thermostats etc....I made it to the internal anodes... yea.. wow...
So, what maintenance the previous mechanics did do, was shoddy... but what they didn't do... wow..
I was finally able to pull the internal anodes. The pictures below tell the story.
The top row are from the STBD engine, with the 1 cylinder that has a lower PSI.
The left top two are the ones on the side with the cylinder.
The bottom row are from the other engine.
Top slot is one of the bad anode slots
Bottom slot is one of the less corroded.
No sense in scoping it till I can get the salt out of there.. a freaking gallon of salt-away to clean it up as much as possible. That is crazy ridiculous how this went that long heh.
Also, thanks to @Sparkdog118 ... the used impeller is what was put in the last time. The unused one is the new kit that I was told to try... MUCH more stout. I have no doubt that is going to push water better. (that is what I am telling myself at least heh)...
Still need to pull the thermostats and the mid anode tonight. Order will not go in till the end of the month, but I wanted to be able to look at all of this now.
So... progress!
