What do you use to clean and wax the gelcoat? And the floor boards?

I've got some gunk on my gelcoat, maybe from my boat fenders, maybe from the plastic bumper on the dock, I dunno. Suggestions on a cleaner to remove that?

And suggestions on a wax product?

And finally, somehow around the aft scuppers I've managed to scratch up the floorboard, or gunk them up. If you want to paint over something like that, where do you get the paint?

Thanks from a newbie.

Post a picture of the gunk spots...
Many products out there all good. 3m makes a good product. I prefer collinite products. No. 925 and no. 870 fleetwax.. They have other waxes as well. I've heard good things about Woody wax. I've used the aurora marine products with good results.
A good applicator and buffer is important I think.

I use oil eater cleaner and a scrub brush for non skid and soft brush for hull. . Then rewax the area. Will clean the gel Cote with no problem.
Oil Eater Original 1 Gallon Cleaner/Degreaser https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EALHHG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xkL.EbCF6E2F7

Ordered, thanks!

Bloodweiser, will post pics if that oil eater stuff doesn't work. It's tiny little stripes. I'm turning into Alan Tani and treating my boat like it belongs in my living room :)

Going out for more fish tomorrow, the kid wants to go, how awesome is that?

Blood is right. Woody wax is great for quick touch ups and motor hoods. This is an amazing combination of compound, polish, then wax. Can read a newspaper in the shine of the hull. Did this for a customer in less than 1 hour.

Compound uses a white compound pad with slow rpms. Aqua buff uses a yellow polish pad high rpms and wax is wiped off with microfiber cloth.

My 88 was very chalked up and oxidized when I bought it quick 3 step process, and it shines like new.

Those pads are screw on and made by 3m. The compound, polish, and wax is a combo that cuts work in half and it lasts a lot longer than other products. Been using that combo for 20 years. Nothing but “wow” from my customers.

If you are in the SF Bay Area I will happily pay you to come do that to my boat once or twice a year. I'm old and at the stage where I just want stuff done and will pay for it. It cost me $5K in labor to get my electronics installed and after I did the power outlets and the battery tender on my knees, I could not be more grateful and more happy to pay those guys. The guy who did the install is my age and at least 50 pounds heavier. I asked how he did that and he said "lots of advil". Yeah, I get it, that's why I'm happy to pay :)

I use Collinites on the gel coat, Woody wax on the deck and if you want scuff marks off of the hull you can use acetone. Know this though, it will strip all wax off the hull. It will get scuff marks off of the hull though.

I did plan on a San Diego trip this year. Know any good campsites close to a dock? I used to fish Oceanside back in the day. Would be down for a top water yellowtail bite.

I fish out of Oceanside a lot. Oceanside has the campground right at the marina. You could also get a guest slip at Oside and boat camp. There's also the Carlsbad Campsite. What time of year are you thinking. We got some yellowtail about 10 miles out of Oside a few weeks back. No luck since. Buefin and yellowfin are down south close to Mexico, about 50 miles out of Oside. I will make that trip soon. I may hit Catalina next weekend.
