What size brass drain tube for Grady Adventure

McMasterCarr has it as 1.250” od x .032” wall thickness. I’ve included an adapter to use an air zip gun that uses the .401 shanks. It’s handy to preflare one side before cutting to the right length, just hold it with good gloves or leaned up against something soft.

I was curious so I took a look on the web and found this tool. Its price is attractive but I am not sure it would fit the tubes. The spec above listed the pipe as 1.25 OD. This tool is 1 inch but I would expect that to be the ID.

Link? My 19’ has two sizes .....1.00” od for the splashwell drains, 1.25” od for the scupper drains

My grady adventure was 1.25 inch, I ordered these moeller tubes and seemed to work well:

Damn, wish I had known about the Moeller tubes, seems like they would have been easier. I used the McMaster Carr pipe on my 2003 330, Grady told me 1.25 inch x 3.5". I followed imjus4u2nv's advice and went to 3 5/8" for the length, custom cutting each one. I didn't know how to use Willy-C's tool so I just flared both ends at once in the hole. The tube self-centered and the flares came out great.

Getting the old ones out was a bit hairy, followed the advice of others and hammered them out with a screw driver. I did it from the outside and once I got the old tubes crunched up in the middle, pushed them through with a bolt and hammer.

Just wondering when they switched to metal tubes, my 2006 208 appear to be some kind of plastic? composite? drains in the splash well. trapper

A few other pointers that helped me:
I heated the entire tube and quenched in water -first attempt, the pre flared end split, this was also using a 1/4" so had to take that one out and redo.
At your own risk, but 1/8" extra pipe was perfect for the flare (two much extra material to flare and doesnt snug up tight to hull).

I found coating inside of the transom and the outsode of the pipe with 5200 was best (messy. But if only do pipe, when push through no 5200 left on the far side). Then just cleaned up with acetone.
Cutting the pipe - I bought a big enough pipe cutter (plumbing type with the wheel - had to go very slowly as dont want end of pipe to flare in (if it does flaring tool wont fit in and may need to use dremel to open it up a little). A saw would work but pipe cutter seemed to produce clean results.
