What year did Grady stop using wood in the transom?

Interested in this detail for the 209. I noticed that in 2011 they changed the console quite a bit as well as the configuration up front. Was this also the year they glassed the transom?

I want to move up from my 180 to a 22-23' boat but honestly think the layout of the 209 is better than most 22-23 in the competition.

Will be looking for used by pretty close to new. I now they stopped making this model too and have the 216 now but again, love this layout along with an inline 200 Yamaha or even the F150.

NH,
Just give GW a call. (252) 752-2111 Maybe the most friendly and helpful people on earth. They will definitely give you specific dates and times on transom changes. Also, I think my 2005 Tournament 225 is the bomb. I moved up from a 1997 Tournament 195.
Now just waiting for the winter to end in Boston.

I hear that. I'm in NH and watching it snow outside my window right now. With every storm, I clear around my boat like a dog defending his bone.

Also agree with you regarding calling Grady. I'm on calls almost all day and this is not an urgent info quest so figured someone may know. Pretty sure it is 2011 or 2012. Wonder if that added weight though... I know, I know, call them. ha ha.

Call GW as recommended as this was a phase out. Different boats each year. Just know which boat(s) you are interested in.
