Absolutely love my Grady. But, there is a slight chance I might need to sell next spring. Boat's here in the New England,. I would rate it about an 8 out of 10. It has a 94 (or 95) Saltwater Series II Yamaha 200, with low hrs and complete service record. I always buy high and sell low, so would not be looking to hold out for every last dime. It has galvanized dual axle trailer, canvas top (probably the weakest part of the boat, but serves me well)) color plotter/sounder combo, kick-butt stereo and the rest pretty much stock).

Just wondering in this economy ballpark how much I could reasonably expect to get next year if I sell.

Thanks

That's a great hull! I would look on some of the classified sites for comps but I would guess mid to low 20's

Just to give you an idea I just got a 94 Seafarer with a hard top and a 06 Yamaha 225 four stroke for $16,500. I would say the hull was 7 out of 10. Had to get a new trailer for it but I only have 20K into the whole thing now.

Look at comparable boats for sale, that is a good ballpark to start at. Also try nada to get a value of your engine, motor and trailer. Right now boats are selling for a little below nada value. We did not get much buzz on our 1989 22' until we went 2k under nada value. Still hard to sell but lots of people interested in looking, just many really low ball offers. Figure out what you think is a fair price based on what you see for comparable boats and from nada. There will be some outlandish prices as well, there is always a nut or two asking a rediculous price for a boat so ignore those. After you figure out a rough number, decide if you are willing to take less, and how much less. If holding onto the boat does not suit you well, maybe being willing to come down more may help, some money in your pocket is better then none. It is a tough market, and now is a bad time to sell, not only is the market slow but this is typically down time for boat sales being the end of the season for many parts of the nation. Spring is usually the best time to sell a used boat. Good luck with the sale!!!

Hopefully I will not sell it. Selling boats is a PIA. Plus, I really enjoy this boat. She handles like a dream, the cockpit is enormous, and the cabin is actually satisfactory for sleeping two overnite.

Thanks for the tips....I figure mid teens would be a fair starting point. We'll see what happens this spring.

Thanks

94 Explorer for sale

Ok folks, checked with you last year on price ranges. I love this boat, and really do not want to sell it, but there it is dry-docked in my yard. I now have 3 boats, and the Grady has not seen the water this year. First realistic offer and she goes. I will not sell low, I will sell fair.

Everything works:
Additional s:
Chartplotter
kick butt stereo
