When did the 22-8 come with 300 hp.

Anyone know what year the 22-8 or 22-6 was built to take a 300hp? Looking for reviews.

Looks like they bumped it up in the 2011 model year. My guess is it was tied to the release of the new 4.2 300, which didn't carry the weight penalty that the 350 has.

That is correct. The Max HP change was due to the development of the lighter 300. The main constraint for max HP of 250 was weight not power.

When/if I repower my 2006 228 F250, I will definitely put the 300 on it. I think the hull is better suited for the 50 extra HP and 30 less pounds back there.
