Probably between 100 - 120 days depending on weather.
After today the days get longer in terms of daylight, something to help remind us that launch day is getting closer.

I lugged 46 gallons of fuel to the boat today, to top off the tank from the fishing two weeks ago.

We'd be out for stripers now, but the lower Bay is just a bit too rough from the northerly winds to make it worth while. Off work for the next 11 days, so will be out as soon as the weather allows.

Need to find my next Grady before I can even think about a launch date. Hope to find something and be ready by late April.

Roughly 16 hours unless we decide to head out a couple of hours before sunrise to catch some lobsters before fishing. Sunny and 65 today.... gotta love So Cal!

If the winds die down some I’ll be splashing 4 days from now…..and then again on days 5, 6 and 7 as well. :D

Best fishing of the year from now until the end of January.

I hope to get out tomorrow, Dec. 23rd to check my 9 dungeness crab pots.

Was out today in a nice 5 foot swell - real comfortable. But we only came home with ten crab hence my desire to check 24 hours after fresh bait in 210 feet of water.

Merry Christmas to all!

I am shooting for mid April. Got some projects around the house I want to finish before she goes back in. Hopfully that will provide the motivation.

There is some fantastic early season striper fishing in the Thames River.

Hopefully not much after 4/1 (as long as I finished what I have to do).

My wife and I were out today by mid-morning and it was a sunny 70 degrees with 10k or less of wind. We had fun catching 4 mackerel that we later donated to another forum member to be used for lobster bait tonight on a hoop-net outing. (Current weather @ 9:45pm PST is 55F and clear.)

Holiday Cheers!
