Thinking of mounting a windless on my 22' seafarer. Wondering if anyone has done this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Check to see if offered on the boat from GW. If so, find out what is currently in the boat and how they run wiring if not there. You could luck out and have some degree of prework already in the boat. It can always be done, but it access will decide how difficult it will be. Most of the major systems are wired and installed before the hull and liner join process so it is very easy for the manufacturer to do this. Once mated, things become more difficult and expensive.

Did you install your windless? If not, I can send pictures of the one I installed. I have the windless mounted on the locker lid so the rode drops into the rode locker. The lid is secured so it won't open unless I remove some blocks.

If you're near Southern NJ contact GOOD Automatic Windless.

No, you can do fine with a good anchor roller.
Same hull.

As an alternative to an anchor roller, I installed a Scotty pot puller pulley. I wouldn’t recommend it if you had a lot of chain rode. But, it does fine with a rope rode and a few feet of chain. As a plus, I can rotate the roller up and out of the way.
