Modify or replace the arm to the "j-hook" style that is now used throughout the car industry. Once you do that, you can buy replacement blades anywhere. A local marine store (doesn't have to be a Grady dealer since this is not a Grady part) should be able to easily get you the right arm. Take your old arm off and take it with you. I did this on my Sundancer and I actually did it a bunch of different ways, more for experimentation than anything else. The ways I did it varied from using junk yard parts to combining parts of different arms together to buying a new arm that is used on the newer Sea Rays.

But, if your current blade is held on with a small nut, then I believe you can get replacement blades at truck parts stores. I didn't go down this road of experimentation but I read something about a Ford "L" arm (something like that) that is an exact replacement if you have that setup.

NAPA carries the replacements (that are held on with the nut). They run about $10. You will pay $25 or so if you get it from the GW dealer.

Windshield Wiper Fitting & Hose

I have a 2002 282 Sailfish and i knocked off the wiper hose while waxing. In addition, i partially cracked the fitting/knob protruding from the fiberglass which connects the small hose.

Anybody replaced the fitting and/or small hose? Is it easy/tough. Guessing only way to get at this stuff is by going inside and removing the winshield wiper motor cover?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Some models like the smaller GWs use relatively small wipers. Mine originally had a 12 inch blade and those are harder to find. I am currently using a 14 inch blade but it does extend out and off of the glass at the end of its sweep. In addition, if you change the blade length you may need to adjust the wiper arm length. The OEM arms can be adjusted for length and you will need to add a bit of length to keep the longer blade from running into the bottom windshield frame.
