I'm looking to replace a 20" wiper blade for a 1995 Sailfish. I would actually just like to replace the rubber refill but it doesn't look like this can be done and that the entire blade will need to be replaced. Does anyone have a source other than a GW dealer?

Thanks izzy, but this is not a standard auto type blade. It is wider than what you find on a car. The metal blade connects to the arm with a screw and nut, unlike the typical snap on blades found on cars. Someone at my marina said I would have to go through GW to replace it but I doubt that. It is an AMCO blade so I should be able to find a replacement - I just don't know where. (there is no model number it) I was just hoping that someone on this forum had already gone through this exercise and could point me in the right direction.

I did do this, bring sample......they will get the order referance number and "order" blades for you which takes about a day. I assure you once they see the sample they can cross referance and order you one :D

I got a pair for my 2004 300 at Advance Auto. They looked it up based on my sample. IIRC it is a made for a truck. Someone here posted the part number. Try a search.

Have the auto parts store pull out the catalog from Anco or Trico, in the front is a picture illustration lookup. Bring your old one and you will be able to match it.

Thanks all, looks like a visit to the neigborhood auto parts store is on the to-do list.

A while back a poster ame CaptBill gave me the NAPA numbers for the same blades. I've since lost them ---- Maybe he can help if he's still around. I'll try and check my blades and see if I can get a # off of them.

Use a neighborhood car parts place that caters to trucks too, no car uses that blade. I recall mine being made by Anco.
The blade and holder came as one part complete, screwed right onto the arm.

Again, thank you all for your help. BobP is correct - you must go to a store that services trucks.

In the event anyone else searches the forum for the same information I found the replacement -
ANCO Heavy Duty Wiper Blade - STK. No.52-20
It includes the metal blade and the rubber wiper. The cost was $12.10.

Be sure to keep the clip that holds the blade from the one on your boat. The one that comes with the blade is different and won't work. Otherwise it's a perfect match.

Danny G --- Thanks for posting that info. This board needs a "Money Saver " message board where everyone can post money savers like this. I was in the Grady dealer yesterday and saw the blade fro $32.

BTW --- I bought some foam pipe insulation that has a split already made into it. Cut it long enough to cover the wiper blade when not in use if the boat is stored un-covered. This will keep the UV rays from drying out the blades. It's cheap. light weight and easy to put on and take off.

Autopart stores carry a Rainex brand blade that has multiple attachements. I boughr them last year for a Gulfstream and they connect perfectly. I assume this is the same blade as the one on the Sailfish.

Just replaced both blades on my 03 Marlin. The dealer wanted $30+ and then labor. Thanks to many of you, I googled on Anco 52-20 and found www.woodys-auto-supply.com who sells the complete blade for $7.50 plus shipping. It was an Anco, not a generic and an exact match (did not need the supplied clip) and the screw and locknut were also the exact ones GW put on. Took about 7 minutes to unscrew and replaced each blade. Thanks to everyone who commented on this. It is great having an expert resource at your fingertips.

I used an Anco 21" blade I picked up from Wal-Mart on my 330 Express. I noticed that the wiper arm is extendable as the bar slides out from the portion of the wiper that connects to the motor drive. I think it makes it more versatile to fit blades of many sizes. Under $5, and 2 mins to replace.
