Okay guys, I found a way to beat the high prices of wiper blade replacement. Advance Auto Parts: TRICO Break-to-Fit Wiper Refills. The ones that fit my Marlin 300 are model 47-800. $7.52 a pair. 17" to 26" inch, 8mm square claw blades. Easy to fit perfectly, easy to break to fit. Beats the heck out of $30+ for new blades!

NAPA didn't have the Anco 52-16 this time around, but they have a SS model in their brand, with a coat of gray paint over the frame. 8.99 + tax. Works perfectly.
Had a ridiculous sime trying to figure out how to replace the wipers on my 2001 282 sailfish. You would think people who spend their livelihoods maintaining boats would know these things but to get to the point, I simply ordered replacement blades from NAPA. 0.5" by 20" blades part number 602005 for $11.98.

I detached mine and took them into OReilly where I did the manly thing and spent ten minutes picking out the closest match from their inventory. $11.00
Then the guy at the register found me inserts so I didn't buy what I didn't need, and refilled them for me. $4.

The NAPA blade part number 60XX70 is a repackaged Anco 52-XX. XX is the length. On my 223 it's a 16. Cost me less than $10
I purchased the Anco 52-16 blades from another member here (thanks Paul!) and while I was able to make them work for my 228, they were not a direct replacement. The rubber part of the blades are quite wider than the existing DFI blades that were on there. But my existing blades have a slide on attachment to the wiper arm, and that slide on connector was riveted to the blade body frame. Also, that attachment point of the blade assembly is much wider than the Anco blades.
In order to make them work, I had to drill out the rivet that held on the slide on connector, and used small stainless bolt (with a nylock nut) and two small stainless nuts as spacers to attach the slide on attachment to the new blade assembly.
Not hard..but not a "bolt in".

Were you not able to unscrew the cap nut....remove the wiper blade from the arm, then remove the nut and bolt that holds the clip assembly to the blade?
Can you post a pic? I'm wondering if you had a non-standard setup from the previous owner....

Parthery, it didn't work like that at all. It could be an aftermarket previous owner solution, I'm not sure.
Here, you can see the difference in the width of the blades. The new Anco 52-16 blade is on the left; the original blade is on the right. You can see where the Anco blade gets skinny at the attaching point, and that resulted in me having to "engineer" the new attaching point on the Anco blade.
This is how I had to modify the attaching point by using a #6 screw and stainless nuts as spacers. I ended up using an allen head cap screw with a stainless cap nut with some blue loctite rather than a round head bolt and nylock nut mainly for the aesthetics of it. You can also see how the original blade attached to the wiper arm; the original blade was riveted to the same place that I used the bolt/nuts.

My wiper arm has a different piece at the end. The bracket which goes on the blade looks the same as yours. However, it also has a screw which protrudes up and the arm has a loop at the tip. The screw goes through the loop and is secured with a cap nut.
The 52-16 came with another bracket but it didn't have the hole in it....it looked like yours. I took the bracket off the old blade and attached it to the new blade, then reattached it to the arm. Works fine.

Can you post pics of the bracket that your 52-16's came with? The blades were purchased from a forum member, but were in a factory sealed bag. There was no other bracket. If you have them, I may want to buy them from you if you want to sell them.
