Does anyone know if GW will provide a full wiring diagram of one's vessel if they are available? The manual for my boat has the basic wiring backbone but it shows very little detail.
The reason I ask is that there is an orange wire (10 to 12 AWG I would guess) that is tied into the accessory bus. I cannot find a tag on the wire and no fuse has been inserted in its slot so it is dead. I assume it is for an optional accessory that my boat is not equipped with. The wire does not appear to be aftermarket since it is part of the thick bundle in the factory harness. I am simply curious what it's for.

I don't know if this helps but here are the ABYC possible applications for Orange wire

Orange - Accessory Feed Ammeter to Alternator or Generator Output
and Accessory Fuses or Switches

Orange - Common Feed Distribution Panel to Accessory Switch

So it's probably an accessory feed wire but to where, I don't know

I've had my nose in my 265 dash for weeks. There are 10awg going to +12v Acc (cig lighter), Refrigerator, hardtop feed, anchor locker (I assume for a windlass).

I believe it just feeds power from main buss to a remote location buss. That is how it was set up in my Tournament. No fuse is needed if you are not tapping in to that remote buss.

Parthery is correct and I missed the full wire harness chart included in my manual. I believe that particular wire I was inquiring about may be for the macerator pump. My son who also uses the boat informed me that he keeps the fuse out of that slot to disable the pump to be in compliance local waste discharge regs.

In my boat, a 2007 Marlin, it turns on the freshwater pump.

When asked what a circuit that has no fuse is wired to, my answer usually is " What doesn't work?" If the answer is that everything works, then I saythat the wire isn't connected to anything

I doubt it. Some of the worst wiring I've ever seen. Somebody needs to hire someone that knows how to make harnesses with tinned wire, water proof connectors and 100% labeling.....
