I cannot seem to find what I am looking for with a simple Google search.

At what time did Grady switch to their treated no-rot wood in their transom? Also, it is my recollection, they had a problem protecting the wood cores years back. Did they get better at this at some point? Looking at a 257 Advance, 2001. What areas should I pay special attention due regarding rot?

No bashing please, just need real info.

Thank you.

Grady customer service told me all went to rot resistant wood in 1998. I have been on this forum since 2010 and have yet to read of a single boat made after 97 that had rot issues... and I and many hope it stays that way!
