My brother in law just lost one of his twin 225's to the infamous exhaust corrosion issue. He isi interested in the northeast. Figure it is a long shot but thought I would throw it out there. Thanks in advance for any info

I admittedly didn’t do a very long search but I saw this one on CL of which I believe it should be the same block… could it be de-tuned?

Thant is absolutely crazy 2 years+. I see many people switching to Suzukis even though some are waiting 9 months for those to arrive.

If/when I go to re-power Suzuki will definitely be my first choice. Pretty hard to beat their warranty and their prices, especially when compared to Yamaha.

No Suzuki dealers around me. Guess I could go Mercury. With Yamaha, I can find a dealer/service, pretty much anywhere I go.

I ordered 300’s last November, supposed to have them this November. I’ll be putting my ‘04 225’s on the market then. 1050 hours on them. Exhausts done in 2017 by previous owner and I have the receipts. They will come with everything. If you’re on LI you can come see them/seatrial them.

Per the Suzuki website it says there are 10 Suzuki dealers within 50 miles of your location. The closest being KY boats in Richmond, which is around 14 miles away.

OK, let's go with ones I trust. I was in the marine repair industry myself, I know the dealers close to me and their techs. I'll pass.

I guess imo, even if the closest place that I trusted was 100-200 miles away, I’d take that and getting my outboard motor before the 2 year mark, if I really wanted it. If you’re content with waiting the 2+ years then that’s a different story altogether.

I get that. Yes, in no real hurry, F225 runs fine, just upgrading because I can, not because I need to. So the wait is a non issue for me.
