I’m not selling my 04 Marlin since just purchased in this past Jan but wanted to share some thoughts about this model/year. By 28 vs 30 do you mean you like the transom cutout seat better 2003 & earlier? GW changed to the flip up seat in 04 but the rear bilge access is limited w/o pulling up the rear deck. They fixed that in 09. Sounds like ur handy if not a good surveyor is in order but the older the boat the more system bugs u’ll have to chase. My 1st deciding factor would be year, condition and hours on OB motors good chance older marlins have been repowered but 4strokes are heavier make sure it’s rated for weight & HP plus how it sits in water at stern.Looking to move up to a marlin.
