I have twin 2005 Yamaha 225s. The pickup for the speedometer is in the lower unit. Is there any way to adjust it? Contunually reads a couple miles slower that the GPS and I'd like to sync them. I understand the difference between speed over bottom and speed through the water. Currents are not an issue.
Any ideas?

Get a straitjacket- cause you're gonna go crazy trying to synch em'. It's the same on my 250 SWS II. 1.5-2 mph slower on the yami gauge.

u can drill out the speed a little, LOL

I thought "syncronizing" twins meant rpm's?.... lol.
The difference in the speedo's might be because of a kinked hose, obstuction, or who know's. I agree with what seabob4 said. I wouldn't be concerned about there accuracy.

Yami, GPS, FF with speed transducer:
They all read differently. I trust the GPS at speed. I use the FF speed indication for slow speed (trolling etc) operation. I don't even look at the Yami gauge for speed.

Remember that, even if the pickup is clean, there will be a slight difference in the speedo and the GPS. Your GPS measures speed over the ground...the speedo measures speed through the water, and current, etc... will be included. Hence, the difference.

Don't worry about your speedo, just pay attention to your GPS. As a matter of fact, dump the speedo and figure out something better to fill that 4" hole.

One of the cool things about Suzuki and Evinrude gauges. They use GPS to display speed.
