I have a dual Yamaha 150's year 2016. Recently the port engine tell tale stopped flowing water. The tell tale works while the lower unit is in the water, and engine running, but when just flushing the engine no water comes out of the tell tale. The Starboard engine tell tale flows whether running or just flushing. Can't seem to find why, I literally have torn this apart looking for blockage, and can't find any reason why it's not peeing? Any suggestions?

Can you verify for us if it used to pee on the hose? And are you still using the same setup/length of hose/etc? It sounds like that's what you're saying, but it's not perfectly clear.

Can you be more specific about what you've done? Before we start offering suggestions, it would be helpful to know what you've done.

Based on what you said, there is no problem with the pump nor the telltale. It works when running the motor down in the water.

You don't have enough pressure when flushing on the hose to reach the top of the engine.
Could be Poppet valve stuck open.

When problem flushing on hose, is motor down in the water?
If motor is up, does water run out prop and other holes?

Are you flushing both motors off a Y in one hose at the same time? Connect only the motor in question and see if it changes.

You are using flush port, not ears, right?

I've had debris (grass, seaweed) get inside the cooler. Use 300lb test fishing line or string trimmer line to snake it and the hoses out to pee port. I keep a piece at the helm for season startup.

Also I made a "Y" hose to connect to the ear muffs and the flush port. This helps the motor plenty of water up top.
