Noticed today after returning to the dock that my port engine was bubbling at idle but the other engine was not. No problems and engines ran great today.. Any ideas or if this normal?

2006 F250s w/1,350 hours

Not a 100% certainty but that is one of the symptoms of midsection exhaust corrosion.

however my old 2005 F250’s did it occasionally as one stayed a bit more revved than the other after docking. Neither of them ever had the dreaded corrosion.

I would have your mechanic scope the engine midsection at the next service.

One of the first symptoms of a bad midsection. Have the engine scoped as a precaution.

Sure hope I don’t have it. I’d like to repower but was hoping to get another season in.

I have a pair of 2006 F250s, one bubbles at times, one doesn't. The one that bubbles had the midsections replaced at 250 hours, now they have 1000. Not sure why! Both scoped with very little corrosion. Run great!

I had my port engine exhaust replaced in November and it bubbles all the time, starboard no bubbles. Dunno..

The bubbling around one engine led me to investigate and ultimately replace the midsection on a F225.
