Here’s a question for all of you with more experience than I. In doing some testing of my new-to-me boat(Sorry, I found a pursuit instead of a Grady. Couldn’t pass on the boat due to low hours and condition) , I was observing the fuel flow readout and was wondering about how accurate these are, I haven’t had a chance to verify it via the pump, was curious to the experiences others have had with these gauges.

Motor is a F250 Yamaha.

If all is working, the fuel flow gauge is a LOT more accurate tool than the fuel level gauge.
Keep notes after each trip on usage, levels etc and fuel added. Over time you will have a pretty good idea what the real numbers are.

i don't think i've ever "verified" the flow metrics, but total usage on both my boats is (was) fairly accurate. i refuel based on usage and stop when i hear the "gurgle" (i have (had) the in-fill vents). always comes up to within a couple gallons of the indicated used.

good luck, ron

Thanks for the replies! I appreciate it.

I'll be verifying soon.

This is a great sight - hope I am still welcome as a non-Grady guy!
