Yamaha Gauge backlight repair/replacement

Anyone attempted to repair older Yamaha Gauge backlight? Can the gauge be opened up for repair/replacement or do they need to be sent out?

Both tach gauges are fine. The fuel management gauge (has fuel tank level) was packed up today and sent out to Gauge Saver.
