The boat I just purchased is a 2002 and was repowered in 2010.The engines went from the 225 four strokes to the 250 four strokes. The hour meters, speed and trim and tilt are not reading the correct engine info. The hours that are being displayed are from the old hours information. Should the gauges have been replaced when the motors were repowered or is there a way to keep the gauges and check connections?

Does your motor have Command Link? If so, the info comes directly from the ECM.
I have a sneaking suspicion that maybe the harnesses weren't changed out to Command Link. If that is the case,you will have to swap the harness and gauges to get accurate info.
