Yamaha kicker update

Anyone heard the rumor that Yamaha is rolling out a new generation of kickers that are now electronic fuel injected and no more carb? Marine mechanic told me this but I can’t find anything on the web to confirm this rumor. Thought someone in the know on this board might have intel.

Would make sense, the Suzuki’s have been EFI for a long time

Would be nice. I have a Honda kicker, and if it sits too long without use the carb does not like it.

I owned a F6 for the last 15 years or so and can't remember how many times I tore that carb down. I just put a F9.9 on my seafarer and the major must have was electric start so I can just grind through it when it starts having issues.
