The 232 BEGS for twins...It is a TOTALLY different boat vs. a single.....It rides, runs, handles 1000 times better.....It'll run with a single....I'd try to get 300HP if you can if you go that route.....But, twin 150's and up will give the boat the set-up it needs to shine.....I've run this hull both ways....I owned a 232 with twins (Older hull though) and ran a boat with a single 250 a few times...The difference is night and day.......Maybe it's that the boat is so beamy for a 23...I'm not sure...But, it needs twins to shine....
