Your exprience opinion wanted. Express 330

had a 2009 with F350's. other than a first year stbd engine casting crack out of winter layup, no problems. loved the boat. downsized in 2021 to a Marlin. i do miss the 330 center helm, but it's also something you may or may not like.

i do think that a 330 with F300's will be hurting a little.

I think a few things are needed here... the first of which would be a budget and how far you're wanting to either travel, or have the boat shipped to you. On top of that, are F350's a dealbreaker or are you just preferring the F300's? Also, is no trailer a dealbreaker as well? There's a 2008 up here in Edmonds, WA for $220k with twin F350's on it, less than 400 hours on the motors, but it doesn't appear to come with a trailer. Also, are boats that are 2007 and older something you're not wanting to take on? Up to $15k to have the boat shipped also seems quite steep, especially for this time of the year. I have owned my 2006 330 for over 14 years now. Love the boat 100%. I repowered with F300's two years ago and they seem perfect for this heavy hull. I drove a friend's 330 with F350's and it was very fast and very impressive. Still, I would favor the 300's for reasons others have mentioned above. In my opinion, the F300 is the #1 Best engine Yamaha ever made. Millions of hours on them since it first came out. On the other hand, the F350 is the Worst engine Yamaha ever made (again, my opinion).

The 330 is an absolute beast. You'll love it. Eventually though, you might learn to love and hate the Fischer Panda generator.

If you are thinking of shipping a 330 from the East Coast to the West coast, there are three for sale in my area (Boston, MA). I would be happy to put eyes on them for you, if the owner is amenable and I am available.

They are well below you price range, which would allow for a repower.

I have a 2002 330 Express with new Yamaha 300’s and helm master ex.
With a clean hull we get 40knot top speed.
I would go the 300’s and when time comes get the new 4.3L F350’s.

tough question. I'd start with asking yourself how you will use it and how fast do you need to go? do you just want a turnkey boat and willing to pay up a little for no hassles?

Once you get all that figured, then you can narrow down the years of 330 express that would be best. While the hull itself hasn't changed much, the HP rating has changed like 4 times- also that windshield/layout changed too.

personally, I have grown to hate canvas and I'd be looking for a later boat with the full windshield.

If you are wary of the F350, and you are ok cruising mid 30's and topping out at around 40mph, then any year with any brand of 300 will do ya.
