Good evening, sorry for the late reply. It should be on the starboard side of the boat. Lift the back seat up and there should be a long steel rod attached to the valve. I think you push it down to close it. (Could be the other way.). That is where mine is. What year is your 228?
Just bought a2011 225 freedom in august with a 250yamaha. My 1st Grady love the ride looking to have a windlass installed ,getting to old to keep pulling the anchor every time we move! Probably going to update the gps & sonar it has an furuno on it now & I haven’t used it much yet but it’s probably outdated compared to all the newer models.I’ll keep it through the 24 season & see how it does & then decide.
hey Hookup1 I posted on the Grady owners page on FB about replacing my tank and hatch repair, you sent me here, would you be able to link me to your posts you told me about, thanks!

I don't have a specific how-to for repairing the hatch. On GG go to search > tools > advanced and search coosa and hookup1 as look at different posts. If you have something specific you can PM me or just "reply" to any of the posts and I'll put the answer up on the board.
Hi I had the same problem and when I opened up the trim and tilt cylinders I found that someone had tried to do work on it before me. The unit was missing o rings and there wer seals and o rings in the wrong place. I replaced the missing parts and removed the incorrectly located parts and it works finr. This was on a 2005 f225. Not hard to work on but get the parts diagram.
Hey, just sent you a message on the Hull Truth forum. I'd recommend giving Dan Diebes a call at the Pensacola MarineMax. My discount was $25K off MSRP. Plus I negotiated painting the engine free (about $5K option) and they put in underwater lights (the wife really wanted those). Tell Dan Phil Jackson sent you.....
Hi Lou,
Saw you message about the seamstress you use and recommend. If you could send me over her information that would be great. I'm local and work in Darien. I have a lady we have used for a variety of sewing needs, however she wont' work on my stamoid enclosure.
Thanks,
Damian
Hi SES,

Did you ever install the trolling motor? I'm looking to do the same thing on my Fisherman 216 that I just bought. I'd appreciate any tips. I've noticed several people recommending that the batteries be placed in the center console head. Is there any reason that the battery(ies) can't be installed in the aft of the boat near the other batteries?

Thanks,
Mike
Hello, My name is Robert Schuller and I live in Vero Beach, FL. I have a 2010 Grady White 330 Express.
I need to remove the freezer fish box too. I need to access the generator.
I really appreciate your photos but I have a few more questions.

Could I have a moment of your time to run me through the process?

Thanks

Looks like we have the same boat. If you can, please read my post on the general discussion forum and respond if possible.

I appreciate it.
