    Lake Michigan Club?

Teacher's Pet, I boat out of Whitehall also. I'd be interested also. I have seen very few Gradys in our area, I can think of one off the top of my head I have seen lately, maybe it was you?

    Outdoor Exposure.

I boat north of Muskegon and leave mine in the water for months at a time. A good coat or two of wax and a wash each week will keep your boat looking good the whole Michigan boating season. We do this with my Dad's 41' Egg Harbor and it looks great the whole season, and it's in the water from...

    Hard top market

Yeah, I have had my Overnighter for about one year and have been very happy with it so far. It is one of the best rides for a 20' boat. Good luck with your boat search! (Make sure it has a hard top!)

    Hard top market

Come on!! I was getting excited about the possibility of getting a hard top too! Good luck in your boat search, if you happen to buy one with a hard top, you will have a buyer right here.

Where to put a radio on a 1985 Overnighter

My radio is mounted on the dash on the port side. It is in a enclosure, so it won't get wet. It's not totally out of the way but leaves plenty of space for other electronics on the dash. The speakers are what I would call stand alone speakers, they are enclosed. One is mounted under the steering...

    Hard top market

I'd be very interested in your top. I am in Michigan and would travel a little to take a look at it. I'm sure it wont bolt right up to my 20' Overnighter but I am willing to modify to make it work. Heck, I'd help you take it off your boat!

    Carb Cleaning

Well, I never did get my boat to a mechanic, so last night I went ahead and tried a can of SeaFoam, and I worked! Right away the engine idled better and I can now slowly accelerate without the engine cutting out. It is still a little rough, but the SeaFoam helped out a ton.

    1988 20' Overnighter Replacement cushions

I found a local guy to recover my cushions. A lot cheaper than buying new. Price can vary quite a bit, but that also goes with their quality of work.

2 stroke to 4 stroke conversion.

You want to know what to do with your fuel? Give it to me! :)

    drain plug -

I use a "T" expandable plug on my boat. I leave it in the water for weeks at a time and have had no problem with it, doesn't leak a drop. I also boat in fresh water, I'm sure salt water is another story.

    20 Overnighter/200 hp prop pitch

You're running 48mph!? Wow, that seems awfully fast for that boat. I don't have a speed sensor on mine, but the previous owner claimed close to 40mph with a rebuit 1990 200hp Johnson.

    Carb Cleaning

Thanks for the help DB, I will try to take the boat to a mechanic next week to get those jets cleaned out. I wont try to open it up myself, I could get myself into trouble if I do.

    Carb Cleaning

Yeah, it bogs bad as I throttle up from an idle, right around 1000 rpm. The engine runs great after I push it through this range.

    Carb Cleaning

After doing some more research I think you're right. There is a lot more to it than I had thought. I have done carbs before on smaller two stroke engies and thought it would be about the same, looks like I am mistaken.

    Carb Cleaning

I have a 200hp Johnson on my 204C, seems like it has a low jet clog as it feel like the engine isn't getting enough fuel at low RPMs. Does anyone know or have a good reference for carb cleaning? Like a step by step to taking the carbs off, where the jets are and so on...

    Patching Screw Holes

Thanks for the ideas George and Rich. When i get back to the boat I will remove what I want to remove and actually find out what I will be dealing with and how big the holes actually will be, may be a few weeks before I actually fill the holes.

    Patching Screw Holes

I'm going to guess the holes will be close to 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch diameter by the time I get the holes cleaned up. And I won't be able to get to the back side of all the holes, so the 2-part epoxy won't work. So for an application like this the Marine Tex sounds like the best product to use?

    Patching Screw Holes

I have never used Marine-Tex before, is it similar to anyother filler? Just a filler with a catalyst type product? And what about gel coating this product, will it adhere to the Marine-Tex? I just don't know enough about the stuff.

    Patching Screw Holes

Well, I want to remove some things from my boat and am wondering what you guys use to fill screw holes with. The holes that I plan on filling and repairing are in plain sight right by the non-skid on the side of the boat. I want to fill the holes and somewhat mimic the non-skid to try to make...
