    Tie rod between the moters? Why dont you cross drill it and install a stainless cotter pin to hold it together or a clevis pin that would work also

    It is either the water pump, t-stats (yes there are 2 of them) or your poppit valve aka pressure relief valve . Good news is all items can be changed while boat is in the water. Parts are not that expensive either. Find my post from last year on how to remove lower unit in water . Russ

    This is not that hard. Just modify the existing harnes you have. Got to local hardware store but some aircraft cable and U-clamps. You allready have the rest of the equipment you need. It should not cost you any more than $20 to do this .

    alarm problem on a yamaha

    Is your tach working? I had similar problem a few years back with my 93' 225 yami and before the alarm went off I noticed the tach was not reading. They might be linked somehow . It was a bad ground in my case. No harm done that was the important part due to alarm.
