Thanks Dennis. I did grab one of the springs with needle nose pliars, after squeezing the tip of the spring thinking it would make it lock in. I ended up just deforming the spring, pulled it half way up the boot but was afraid their was a wire on the back side of the spring? Gave the boot a tug...

New oem wires have the ignition coil attached at $90/ea x 6 .... Looking for a cheaper solution.... Doesn't appear the boot itself can be replaced? Thanks. Dennis

1993 Yamaha 175 Plug wires keep coming off in chop. I can tell right away as my RPM's drop and I pull off the cover and yesterday 2 wires came off. I am going to try and zip tie around the boot unless someone else has a better idea? I did try and tighten the spring in the boot...but it's a...

I would think the shop would see sediments in a fuel sample....

you can make a homemade one for cheap $ with a plastic barrell... I would use your raw water washdown hooked up to it... and an overflow hose to the scupper or engine well.... it will circulate water and keep the liveies alive. tons of ideas online.... don't have to buy a 300$ made livewell. D.

! Disregard.... believe it or not I was just holding the primer bulb wrong. once i held it up right as i saw on youtube it primed fine and fired right up! pfew!

So i picked up the boat today... it hasn' t been run yet this year. Was winterized by the marina. Yamaha 175 year 1993.... will not fire. plugs look fine. NO FUEL! I take apart the bulb and it's dry... is there a fuel shut off for this boat? Did go put 30 gallons of premium in...

Looks like the boat has been run every year ... and marina maintained. What do you run in yours for oil? premium gas? I do have access to ethanol free gas through a local airport...not sure of the pump price though. thanks! Dennis
